Leadville Community Development and Planning Department, your central resource for navigating development, land use, subdivision, zoning, and historic preservation regulations in the City. This department manages all community development and planning issues to ensure sustainable and strategic growth.

Lake County Community Planning and Development administers all building, plumbing, mechanical, roofing, and solar permits for both the County and the City of Leadville. This Department also administers all Lake County planning, zoning, subdivision, and all other land use matters, including Mapping. The Mapping Department was reestablished in 2020 to make County data accessible through geo-visualization, as well as maintain and archive existing GIS data and physical historic maps.
